We are located right opposite Bunts Hospital on Mission Hospital Road in Udupi. It is a good spot because the hospital is such a well-known landmark for everyone in town. The building where Durotop Construction Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. operates is mostly filled with bags and containers. You can smell the chemicals sometimes, but we are all used to it by now. The floor is grey concrete and there are usually some scuff marks from moving the heavy pallets around. We have a small office area partitioned off where the paperwork gets handled. It is usually quite busy on the road outside with ambulances and people visiting the hospital, so there is a lot of activity to watch from the front door. We keep a few samples out on a table for people to look at if they come in. The walls are painted a plain white and they could probably use a new coat, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the shop quite hard, so we usually pull the shutter down halfway to keep the heat out. It is a practical environment where we focus on getting the orders ready and sent out to the sites where they are needed. We spend most of our time organizing the stock and talking to people who stop by the road.
