Ayisha Tours&Travels is right here in Raj Towers, basically a stone's throw from the Udupi city bus stand. Being so close to the station means things get pretty hectic, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get somewhere. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we handle travel bookings and sort out car rentals for people visiting. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or dealing with walk-ins who just hopped off a bus. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure drivers are where they need to be and that tickets are confirmed. The heat in Udupi can be something else, so we usually have the fan going full blast while we work. Most of the people who come to us are locals we’ve known for years, though we get plenty of tourists too who are heading to the temples or the beach. We don’t really do fancy brochures or big ads. People usually find us because they’re already at the bus stand and need help getting to the next place. It’s straightforward work. We open up early, deal with the day's chaos, and try to keep things organized. Sometimes the office gets crowded when a big group comes in, but we just figure it out as we go. That’s life at Raj Towers for us. We try to keep things simple and honest, even if the printer acts up or the phone line crackles a bit during the monsoon.
