Operating out of Shankarapura in Dakshina Kannada is what we do every single day. Alisha Tours & Travels is not a big corporate company with a fancy glass building or hundreds of employees. We are just local people who know these roads like the back of our own hands. Shankarapura is a nice enough place to be based, and we have been set up here for a good while now. It gets very busy during the festival seasons or when there is a big wedding nearby, and that is when we are really running around. Most of the time, our work is just about keeping the cars clean and making sure the drivers are ready for the next trip. We do not have a huge office with air conditioning and fancy coffee machines. Usually, it is just a desk, a couple of chairs, and a lot of talk about petrol prices or which road is currently being repaired. Dakshina Kannada has its own pace of life, and we fit right into it without any trouble. Sometimes people just drop by to chat for a minute before they head on their way. We try to be as helpful as we can to anyone who walks in. It is a simple life running a travel business in this part of the country. You meet all sorts of people, some who are in a huge hurry and others who just want to see the local sights.
