Yatrika Travels & Tours

You can find Yatrika Travels & Tours right at the Bus Stand Chowk in Katra. It is inside the Durga Hotel Complex. Being near the bus stand means it is always noisy and crowded outside our door. We also serve the Jammu area, but this Katra office is where we spend most of our time. It is a very busy spot because everyone coming for Vaishno Devi passes through here. We deal with a lot of different people every day. Some are tired from their journey and some are just starting. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the routes and the timings. The shop is small and filled with papers and old files. We keep a fan going in the summer because it gets quite hot. People come in asking about bus schedules or how to get a taxi to the airport. We just give them the straight talk. We have been in this complex for several years now. The tea stall nearby is where we get our morning chai. It is a practical life, working in a pilgrim town. We see thousands of faces but we remember the regulars. There is no corporate talk here, just plain conversation. If you need a ticket or a car, we see what we can do. The office doesn't look like much but it gets the job done for the travelers. We are just regular people helping you get to where you need to go without any fuss.
