We’ve been based out here in the Industrial Estate in Battal Ballian for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the trucks start rolling in and everyone is trying to get parked. The workshop gets pretty warm during the summer months, but we’re used to it. Most of us have been working here together for years, so we know the routine inside out. It’s not a fancy place, just a lot of metal, machines, and people getting on with their jobs. Sometimes the power goes out and we all just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. There’s a small tea stall just down the road where we go for breaks. We don't really do much in the way of big meetings or anything like that. We just show up, see what needs doing for the day, and get to it. The floor is always a bit dusty no matter how much we sweep, but that’s just how it is in an industrial area like this. We handle a lot of different orders, some big and some small, and we try to keep things moving so nothing piles up too much. It’s a steady kind of life here. We aren't trying to change the world, just keeping the machines running and making sure the work is done right before the sun goes down. The neighborhood has changed a bit since we started, with more businesses moving in, but we still feel like the old-timers around here.
