Jai Chandi Mata Shg

Jai Chandi Mata Shg is located up in Barta, in the Cheneni area of Udhampur. Being up here means the weather can be a bit different than the lower parts. We are a small group of locals. We spend our days working on whatever tasks are needed for the group. Usually, it involves a lot of handling goods and making sure things are stored right. We don't have any fancy equipment, just our hands and some basic tools. It’s a quiet life in Barta. We don't see many strangers around here. Most of us have known each other since we were kids. We started the group to give ourselves something productive to do together. It helps with the bills and keeps us connected. Sometimes the road to Cheneni gets blocked when it snows or rains too much, and then we have to just wait it out. We don't mind much; it gives us a break. We aren't trying to be a big corporation. We just want to do our work and go home to our families. The space we work in is small and a bit crowded when everyone is there, but we make it work. We share our lunches and talk about the news. It’s a very basic setup, just the way we like it. We focus on the practical stuff and don't worry about much else.
