Everst Paints

Our place is out on Dhar Road in the Industrial Estate. It’s a dusty area with a lot of heavy trucks moving in and out all the time. Working with paint means our floors and even some of our clothes are covered in different colored spots. It’s hard to keep things clean when you are mixing pigments and pouring liquids all day. The smell of thinner and chemicals is quite strong, so we always keep the big shutters open to let the air in. We aren't some fancy showroom. This is a working space where we get the orders ready. We have racks of tins stacked up to the ceiling. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific shade when things get moved around. We just do our best to stay on top of it. The machines for mixing make a steady humming noise that you stop noticing after an hour or two. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just the tools we need to do the job. During the monsoon, the road outside gets a bit muddy, which makes loading the trucks a bit of a mess. But we just deal with it and keep moving. It’s a simple business of providing what people need for their houses and projects. We’ve been here at the estate for a long time now. We just come in, mix the colors, and make sure the lids are on tight before shipping.
