Country Inn & Suites By Carlson

Katra is a busy place, but out here in Village Pamote, things are a bit more slowed down. We are located in the Udhampur district, and being Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, we see a lot of people coming through for the pilgrimage. The building itself sits where you can see the hills, and the air is different than what you get in the bigger cities. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we know the roads and the shortcuts around the village. It isn't a fancy setup with a lot of noise, just a practical place where the rooms stay ready for whoever shows up. Sometimes the weather gets a bit cold, especially in the winter months, and you can see the mist rolling in over the trees. We spend a lot of our day just making sure the lobby is tidy and the lights are working right. People usually arrive quite tired from their travels, so we try to get them sorted out without too much fuss. There is a lot of walking involved for anyone visiting the shrine, so we see many folks just looking for a chair and a bit of quiet. The parking area fills up early in the day. It is just a regular hotel on the edge of Katra, doing what we do every day. We don't have big speeches about it, just the daily work of keeping the place going for the guests.
