UIITM

UIITM is located in Rudrapur, specifically right near the Maha Laxmi Glass shop at Bhagat Singh Chauk. If you know that area, you know how busy it gets with all the traffic and people moving around. We handle the Uttarakhand Open University stuff here, mostly for people doing distance or correspondence courses. The office is usually full of papers and files because there is always some form or another that needs filling out. It’s not a quiet place because the street outside is always humming with scooters and horns. Students drop by at all hours to ask about their exams or to pick up books. The space inside is a bit tight, especially when five or six people are trying to talk at once. We have some wooden chairs for people to wait on, and a few old computers that stay on all day. Rudrapur gets really hot in the summer, so the small cooler we have in the corner stays busy. Dealing with distance education means we see people from all over who travel here just to sort out their university work. We usually have a pile of mail by the door waiting to be sent out. It is just a practical spot where folks come to get their studies sorted without much fuss. Bhagat Singh Chauk is easy to find, so most people don't have trouble reaching us once they see the glass shop landmark.
