S.K. General Store

Out here on Kandwa Road Panchkosi, the pace is a bit different. S.K. General Store is just a small place along the road where people stop when they are passing through. I started this because there wasn't much else nearby for the locals to get their daily items. The building is simple, and I do most of the work myself. I get the stock from the city and bring it here. It’s a lot of driving and then unloading everything by hand. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, from soap to snacks and basic cooking ingredients. I don’t have a computer system or anything, just a notebook where I write things down. Sometimes people just stop by to chat for a bit while they buy their groceries. It gets a bit lonely sometimes when the road is quiet, but then a bus or a truck will stop and things get busy for a few minutes. I try to keep the shelves full, but sometimes the delivery truck doesn't show up on time. You just have to deal with it. The dust from the road gets inside quite a bit, so I spend a lot of time cleaning the glass jars. It’s a basic life, but it keeps me busy enough throughout the day. Most people around here know me by name now. It’s just a regular store for regular people living out this way.
