You have to go behind Bankee Bihari Ispat in Kishanpur to find us. It’s a bit out of the way, but Siddharth Alloys has been in this spot for a while. It is a hot place to work, especially in the summer. We deal with metal and alloys, so there is a lot of heat and noise from the furnace area. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or scrap bits. We wear heavy boots and try not to get in the way of the guys moving things around. It’s a rough environment, not like a clean office at all. We have trucks coming in and out all day long with loads of raw material. Sometimes the schedules get messed up and we have trucks lined up down the road, which makes the neighbors unhappy. We just keep our heads down and focus on the batches we are running. There is a small room where we keep the records, but mostly we are out on the floor. It’s simple work but it’s tiring. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If people want to talk to us, they usually just drive out here or call the landline. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if we all go home covered in grime at the end of the day.
