Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd: Mumbai

Even though the main name says Mumbai, we are actually based out here in Phulsungha village. It’s near the Transit Camp area in Rudrapur, specifically in the Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand. It’s quite a distance from the big city, but we have plenty to keep us busy here. The office is pretty basic. We don't need much more than a desk and a good connection to keep things moving. The local vibe is very different from the coast, obviously. We deal with the logistics and the daily grind of the projects in this region. Most of the guys here are local or have been living here long enough to feel like it. We don't put on any airs about being a big company. We are just the people on the ground in 263153. Sometimes the roads are a bit rough or the weather in the hills gets unpredictable, but that’s just part of the deal. We show up, do the work, and go home. There’s no marketing team writing this. It’s just us. We’ve got a lot of respect for the land out here and the people we work with. It's a simple setup in a village, and it works for what we need. You won’t see any shiny suits here. Just boots and dusty jeans most days. That’s how we like it. It's a real way to work.
