Down in Ward No-13 at D1-D2 Pragati Vihar, right by the Mid Town Hotel, is where you’ll find Global Hospitals And Pharmaceutical Research Center. It’s a bit of a mouthful of a name, but we just call it the center. Rudrapur is where we live and work, and this place stays busy most of the time. We do a mix of things here, from seeing people who aren't feeling well to the research side of things in the back rooms. Those labs are usually pretty quiet, which is a big change from the front where everyone is checking in. We have a lot of scientists and doctors walking around in white coats. It’s a lot of paperwork to manage, and sometimes the filing cabinets get a bit overstuffed. The building itself is decent, though we’ve had to patch up the walls a few times over the years. We don't really have a lot of time for decorating, so the walls are mostly plain. It's more about function here. We make sure the electricity stays on and the computers are working so the researchers can do their thing. It's a long day for most of us, starting early before the sun is even fully up. We just keep our heads down and get through the tasks on the list. It’s not glamorous, but it’s the work we’ve got. Sometimes we run out of pens, which is always a minor crisis when you need to sign a form.
