As Clothing

You can find us at Plot No. 2 in Civil Lines, which is where As Clothing is located. It is an old building with high ceilings that stay relatively cool even when it is boiling outside. Inside, it is mostly long tables covered in rolls of different fabrics and the constant hum of sewing machines. We aren't a big factory; it's a smaller setup where we can actually see everything that’s happening. There are threads all over the floor by noon, and we usually have to do a big cleanup before we head home for the evening. Working in Civil Lines is nice because it feels a bit more established and grounded. We don't do a lot of fancy marketing or try to act like a big fashion house. We just make clothes. Some days are spent just cutting patterns, and others are all about the stitching. We get a lot of local people coming in, and we’ve gotten used to the specific things they like to wear. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but there is something satisfying about seeing a finished garment after it started as just a flat piece of cloth. We don't have a polished sales pitch. If someone likes what we make, they buy it. We just try to keep the quality decent and the prices fair so we can keep the lights on and keep coming back tomorrow. It is just a regular clothing shop doing our thing.
