The Zuri Hotel Whitefield Bangaluru

Our place is located in the Whitefield area of Bangalore. It is a big building with a lot of rooms and people coming and going for work. Being in this part of Karnataka means we see a lot of people from the tech parks nearby. The hotel is situated where there is always traffic and noise from the construction around. We work here to keep the rooms ready and the lobby looking decent. It gets very busy during the middle of the week because of all the business travelers. We have a lot of staff members who commute from different parts of the city. The address says 431127, and we are right in the thick of things. It is a bit confusing because the pin code is different from what most people expect for Whitefield, but that is what is on our mail. It’s not just about the rooms; there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work in the kitchen and the laundry that people don’t see. We have to keep an eye on the water tanks and the electricity, which can be a bit finicky in this part of town. The staff lunchroom is where we all gather to eat. Most of us have been working here for a few years now, so we know the layout of the floors pretty well. It’s a job that requires a lot of walking. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. It is just a regular hotel life.
