At Saudagar A.S Steel & Building Materials, we spend most of our time moving heavy stuff from one side of the yard to the other. We are located on Bidir Road in the Latur district. The yard is usually full of rebar, heavy cement bags, and tall stacks of bricks. It is a dusty job, especially when the wind blows hard across the open road. We get all sorts of people coming in, from guys building their own small houses to big contractors who need a whole truckload of supplies delivered. We try to keep everything organized, but with so much steel and stone, things tend to get messy by the end of the week. The sun hits the metal in the summer and it gets really warm out there. We have a small desk where we do the billing and talk to customers, but most of the actual work happens outside. The road is often busy with tractors and lorries passing by. We have been here for a good while, so most of the locals know where the turn-off is located. It is not a shiny showroom like you see in the city. It is just a place where hard work gets done. My hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning. We do not use big words or fancy talk here. If we have the material in stock, we tell you. If we do not, we tell you when it might come in. That is how we run things on Bidir Road.
