Vishal General Store

I’ve been sitting in this shop at Hiran Magri Sector-5 for a good few years now. It’s a small place, just 33-G, but we keep most things people ask for. Mostly it’s just me and sometimes a helper during the busy hours in the evening when everyone comes back from work. We have the usual stuff like lentils, soaps, and those snacks the school kids always want. The shelves are a bit crowded, I know, but I like knowing where everything is. Sometimes the heat gets a bit much, especially in the afternoons when the street is quiet. I usually spend that time checking the stock or cleaning the glass jars. It’s not a big fancy supermarket, just a regular general store where you can get your daily milk or a single pen if you need one. People stop by to chat about the weather or local news while I pack their groceries. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we started, more cars now and more noise from the main road. But inside here, it’s mostly the same smells of spices and laundry soap. I try to keep things simple. If someone needs something specific and I don't have it, I usually try to get it for them by the next week. It's just how we do things here. We have everything from matches to big bags of flour stacked in the corners. It's my daily life.
