We are based out of Shivhati House, right at number 17 on Mahawat Marg. It’s one of those buildings that has a lot of character, even if the elevator is a bit slow and the hallways are narrow. Our office is a mix of old wooden desks and stacks of shipping documents that never seem to get any smaller. Because we handle exports, there’s always a lot of talk about schedules and trucks and when things are going to arrive at the port. It gets pretty busy around here, especially in the mornings when we’re trying to get everything sorted for the day’s pickups. We don’t have any shiny furniture or expensive art on the walls; it’s just a place where we do our work and drink way too much tea. The view out the window is mostly of the street and the other buildings nearby, and you can hear the city noises all day long. Sometimes the internet acts up and we all have to wait around for it to come back, which gives us a chance to catch up on local news. It’s a practical, no-frills environment where we focus on getting the goods where they need to go. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and everyone knows where to find us on Mahawat Marg. It’s just a normal office run by people who know their business. The floorboards creak a little when you walk near the filing cabinets.
