Vasudev Dudh Bhandar

We are located inside the Surajpole area, right where the old city feel is still very strong. Being a dudh bhandar, our day starts way before the sun even comes up. The milk arrives early, and we have to get everything ready for the morning rush. People come in with their steel containers, and there’s a lot of pouring and measuring going on. It’s a simple business, focusing on milk and maybe a few other dairy items if we have them. The shop is small and can get quite damp because of all the cleaning we have to do. We don't have any fancy signs or big displays. The smell of fresh milk is usually enough for people to find us. Inside Surajpole, everyone kind of knows everyone else, so a lot of our time is spent just greeting the neighbors. It’s a noisy spot with scooters zooming past the door all the time. We don't try to be a modern dairy company; we just do things the way they’ve been done for years. Some days are harder than others, especially when the weather is hot and we have to be extra careful with the stock. But seeing the same families coming in for years makes it feel like we are doing something right. It’s just us, some milk cans, and a lot of hard work every morning to keep everything running.
