Transport Corporation Of India Ltd.

Our office is out on Mavli Road in Dabok. It is part of the Udaipur district in Rajasthan. Being at number 70, we see a lot of the highway traffic passing by. Transport Corporation of India is a big name, but this branch is just us guys in a dusty office. The sun is really intense here, so we keep the blinds pulled down most of the day. You can see the big trucks lined up outside sometimes waiting for orders. It is a lot of manual work, checking manifests and talking to the drivers who have been on the road for days. They usually have some interesting stories to tell about their trips. The office has a big table where we all sit and have our lunch together. It is usually something spicy from home. We have been in Dabok for quite a while now. The air is dry and the wind blows the sand into everything. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. Just some calendars and maybe a photo of someone’s kids. It is a practical place for practical work. We handle a lot of different things moving across the country. It can be stressful when things are late or the weather is bad, but that is just the nature of the business. We just try to keep things rolling along as best as we can.
