We operate out of the Khoda Mata Industrial Area in Udaipur. Being in an industrial zone means we are surrounded by other factories and workshops, so there is always a lot of noise and activity around us. The heat in Udaipur can be pretty intense, especially in the middle of the summer, so we have to adjust our working hours to keep the staff from getting too worn out. We focus on making bricks that can stand up to the local weather and building needs. Our facility isn't very pretty; it's mostly metal sheds, heavy machinery, and piles of raw materials. We spend a lot of time maintaining the equipment because the dust from the bricks tends to get into everything and cause problems. We don't have any formal meetings or corporate policies here. We just show up in the morning, see what needs to be done, and get to work on the orders. Most of our clients are local builders who have been buying from us for several years now. They know our schedule and they know where to find us when they need a shipment. We keep a small office space at the front of the lot for paperwork and for when people come by to pay their bills. It is a practical setup that fits the needs of a place like Udaipur. We just try to keep the wheels turning and the bricks moving out the gate on time. It is a lot of hard work, but it keeps us busy.
