Swastik Enterprises

If you go down to Hathipole Loha Bazar, number 12 is where Swastik Enterprises sits. It's right in the middle of all that noise and metal. We've been part of the Loha Bazar crowd for a long time. Dealing with iron and hardware is a heavy job, literally. Our floors are scuffed and there’s always a bit of grease around, but that’s what a real workshop looks like. We sell all kinds of metal parts and tools that people in the trade need. It gets pretty loud during the day with all the loading and unloading. We don't have fancy displays or air conditioning. It’s just us, the stock, and the customers who know exactly what they’re looking for. Most of our regulars are builders or mechanics who’ve been coming to us for years. They don't want a sales pitch, they just want the right size bolt or a sturdy piece of iron. We do our best to help them find it. Sometimes we have to dig through the back to find an odd piece, but we usually have it somewhere. It’s a tight-knit community in the bazar. We look out for each other. Business can be tough some months, but we keep the doors open. We don't need a lot of fuss to get through the day. Just a cup of tea and some work to do. That’s how we like it here at number 12.
