Swajas Singh Chhabra & Co.

We are based at Plot No.101-103, right inside Surajpole. If you know the area near Shastri Circle, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. Swajas Singh Chhabra & Co. has been operating out of this location for quite a few years. The building is an older style, but it works for what we need to do. It’s a very busy part of the city, so there is always noise and people moving around outside. We have a few rooms inside where we keep all our supplies and the old filing cabinets. It’s not a modern office setup, but we know where everything is kept. Our days are mostly filled with handling the different tasks that come our way. We don't have a large staff, so everyone who works here ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering phones to moving boxes. Sometimes it feels like we are running out of space, especially when a big shipment arrives. We have to shuffle things around just to find a place to stand. The street outside is quite narrow, so getting any kind of vehicle in and out can be a real headache. We mostly deal with local folks who have been coming to see us for years. We don't use much in the way of technology. It’s more about the face-to-face conversations and making sure the numbers in the ledger match up. When the heavy rains come, the roads around Surajpole get a bit flooded, but we just keep working.
