Shree Nakoda Marble

Our shop is at 12 University Road in the Kushal Bagh area. We are tucked right behind the Jain Temple, which is a good landmark for people trying to find us. The road outside can get pretty busy with all the students and locals going by. We have a lot of marble pieces around the property. Some are large slabs and others are smaller cuts. We spend our mornings moving things around to make room for new arrivals. It’s a local business and we’ve been at this address for several years now. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us and the stone. We spend time talking to people who are building houses nearby. They usually want to see the marble in person before they decide on anything. We keep the place as clean as you can keep a stone yard, but there’s always a bit of dust. It’s just how it is with marble. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s not too hot and watch the traffic go towards the university. We have a small team and we all know how to handle the heavy lifting. It’s steady work and we like being in this part of town near the temple. It’s a familiar routine of unloading trucks and helping customers who wander in after seeing our sign on the main road. Most of our days are spent checking the stock levels and talking to the cutters about the current orders.
