Shree Laxman Electronics

You can find Shree Laxman Electronics over in Khemli, right by the station in Mouli Jiladhinpur. It’s a small place, but it’s home for us. We spend our time fixing all sorts of electronic items that the local people bring in. The shop is filled with the smell of solder and old metal. We have tools scattered across the benches because there is always a radio or a television that needs looking at. Since we are so close to the station, we hear the trains rumbling past all day and night. It’s a sound we have grown used to over the years. We aren't a big chain store with bright lights and salesmen in uniforms. It’s usually just a couple of us here, wearing our regular clothes and getting our hands dirty with repairs. People from the village come in to chat even if they don't have anything to fix, just to catch up on the news. We have some shelves with spare parts that have been there for years, just in case someone brings in an old model that needs a specific part. It’s honest work and it keeps the community going. We don’t have a website or do any big advertising. If you need something fixed, you just walk down to the station area and look for the sign. We’ll be there, probably drinking tea and looking at a circuit board.
