Shakti Electic Engineering Works

Our workshop is down on Road No 2 in the Madri Industrial Area at spot S 63. We focus on electrical engineering work, which basically means we spend our days fixing heavy motors and rewinding coils. It gets very hot in this part of Udaipur, especially in the summer months, and the metal roof of the shed doesn’t help much. We have a couple of big workbenches that are cluttered with copper wire, soldering irons, and old testers. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s where we get things done. Most of our customers are from the nearby factories who bring us their broken equipment when things go wrong on their production lines. We don't have a website or anything, people just know we are here on Road No 2. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot and usually wrap up by evening. Sometimes the power in the industrial area fluctuates, so we have to wait around for it to come back on. We’ve been at this location for a good while now, and we know all the other shop owners around us. It’s a noisy, busy place with trucks constantly moving up and down the road outside. We just keep our heads down and focus on the wiring and the mechanical parts. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We try to finish everything as it comes in.
