Sangam Sale

Sangam Sale is sitting right at 49 Maldas Street. If you know this area, you know how tight the lanes are and how many people walk through here every single day. We’ve been operating out of this small space for quite a long time now. It’s mostly clothes, especially suits and fabrics that people buy for stitching. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with rolls of cloth and ready-made pieces. It’s not a fancy air-conditioned showroom or anything, just a typical Maldas Street shop where things move fast. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to stand when there are three or four families inside looking at stuff. We just pull things down from the shelves as they ask for them. My family has been doing this for years, so we know most of the regulars who come from out of town to shop in bulk. The street is always loud with carts and people talking, but that’s just how it is here. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing stuff. We just open the shutters in the morning, dust the counters, and wait for the customers. It's a lot of work handling the stock and keeping track of what’s sold, but we manage somehow. Just a plain old shop in a very busy market where you get what you see. We don't have any big plans, just selling cloth every day.
