If you head down to Dhanmandi 8, you will find Sadhu Ram Vinod Kumar tucked away in the area of Saheliyon Ki Bari Maheshwari Ki Sehri. It is a bit of a long name for a place, but we have been here for a long time. The street is narrow and you have to watch where you're walking because it gets quite packed with people and carts. Our shop, Sadhu Ram Vinod Kumar, is just a regular local business where we handle our daily trade. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that; we just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes by. Maheshwari Ki Sehri is a traditional spot, and being near Saheliyon Ki Bari means we see some visitors, though mostly it is just the regulars. The shop has that old smell of wood and dust, which we kind of like. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the ledgers and items we keep on the shelves. We usually sit out front on the little bench when it's not too hot. People know us by name around here, and we know most of them too. It’s not a corporate setup at all, just a place where business is done with a handshake and some tea. Dhanmandi is always loud, but inside our little spot, things are a bit more relaxed. We just get on with it every day without any fuss.
