Rock Granites

Rock Granites has been at 223 Ashok Nagar for a long time. We are right on the main road, so we get a lot of dust from the traffic, but it’s a good location for people to stop by. Working with stone is heavy work. We spend our days moving slabs and dealing with different types of granite. It’s loud, and there’s always the sound of cutting or polishing going on in the background. Our shoes are usually covered in grey stone dust by lunch. We don't have a polished showroom with bright lights. Most of our stock is just sitting out where people can see the natural colors. The office at 223 is pretty basic—just some chairs and a desk where we handle the billing. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even if we aren't all related. We’ve learned a lot about granite over the years just by handling it every day. We don't use big words to describe what we do. If a piece of stone is good, it’s good. If it has a crack, we don't sell it. It’s pretty straightforward. The main road in Ashok Nagar is always busy, which keeps us on our toes. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we opened, but we’re still here doing the same thing. It’s honest work and it keeps us fit. We just keep moving stone.
