We run Raman Classes over on Durga Nursery Road. It’s a pretty well-known street around here in Udaipur. We’ve been operating out of this space for a while, and it’s mostly just about getting students ready for their exams. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles or high-tech gear. The rooms are basic, with enough benches and boards to get the point across to the class. Most of the people who come to us are local students looking for some extra help with their subjects. We spend a lot of time grading papers and explaining the same things until they finally click for the kids. It’s a lot of repetition, but that’s how teaching goes in a place like this. The neighborhood is fairly active, so there’s always some noise from the street outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over time. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or office furniture. Our main thing is just being here when the students show up for their sessions. We keep a schedule on the wall and try to stick to it as best we can, though things happen. Sometimes the sessions run over because someone has a lot of questions. That’s fine by us. We’ve seen a lot of students pass through these doors over the years. It’s a steady kind of work. We just open up in the morning, do the lessons, and head home once the last student leaves for the day. It’s just a normal part of the community.
