Our unit is located at F-16a on Road No-3 in the MIA area. It’s a proper industrial zone, so the surroundings are mostly other factories and workshops. We do electronics work here. The building is a simple structure that’s been around for a while. We have a main area for the production and a smaller section for the office tasks. It’s usually quite busy with the sound of tools and people moving things around. The road outside is often dusty because of the heavy trucks that pass through all day. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. Most of us have been here for a long time. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. There’s a small space where we keep our tools and another for the finished products. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and old charts. It’s a place for work, nothing else. We get our supplies delivered and we send out the orders as they are finished. Sometimes the power is a bit patchy, but we have a generator to keep things going. It’s a straightforward industrial life. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or the weather. The place serves its purpose well. We focus on getting the electronics right and making sure we meet our daily targets without too much fuss. It is a bit loud when the neighbors are running their big machines too.
