Bapu Bazar 267 is where you will find us. Optical World has been part of this market for years. If you know Bapu Bazar, you know how loud and colorful it is. Our shop is tucked in there with all the other vendors. We spend a lot of time cleaning the dust off the glass cases because the street outside is always active. We have all kinds of frames piled up. Some are new and some have been there a bit too long, honestly. People stop by while they are out shopping for other things. They might have a loose screw on their glasses or they want to try on something different. No fancy websites for us. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for people to walk in. It’s a very manual process here. We write down orders in a big ledger book. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break. It is a small space so we have to be organized. You get used to the noise of the market after a while. It feels weird when it’s quiet. We just keep doing what we do, day after day. Most of our customers are locals who don't want to go to the big mall stores. They like coming to a place where they know the face behind the counter. It's nothing special but it's ours, and it keeps us busy enough throughout the day.
