Geetanjali Hospital

If you head down the NH-8 Bypass near the Hiranmagri Extension, you’ll find us in the Manwakhera area. This hospital stays pretty busy because of where we are located right near the main road. We see a lot of people coming in and out all day, some for quick checkups and others who need to stay for a bit longer. The hallways are usually full of the smell of cleaning supplies and the sound of nurses moving carts around. We have a lot of rooms and beds, but it often feels like we could always use a bit more space when things get crowded in the mornings. It’s a practical building, not one of those new glass towers you see in big cities. We focus on the basic stuff, making sure patients are looked after and that the doctors have what they need to do their rounds. Sometimes the power goes out or the computers act up, but we just keep going anyway because people are waiting. The staff here lives mostly in the nearby neighborhoods, so everyone kind of knows each other. It’s a lot of long shifts and tired eyes, especially during the nights when it gets quiet except for the occasional car zooming by on the bypass. We don’t do much talking about goals or visions, we just try to keep everyone healthy and get them back home to their families as soon as we can.
