Nav Nirman is based right in the heart of things at Chandpole. We are at Jada Ganesh Ji Chowk, house number 3. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know how narrow the lanes are and how many people are always moving about. It’s a very old area with a lot of history. Our building has thick walls that keep the heat out in the summer, which is a blessing because we don't like using the air conditioner much. You can hear the temple bells from the chowk throughout the day, and it’s a nice sound to work to. We’ve been working from this spot for a long time. It’s not a fancy setup at all. We have some old wooden furniture and a few filing cabinets that have seen better days. We do things in a very traditional way here. There isn’t a lot of computer stuff or automation. We talk to people face to face, and most of our deals are done with a simple handshake and a cup of tea. It’s the way my father did it and the way we still do it. Sometimes the cows wander into the lane and block the entrance, so we just wait for them to move on. It’s part of the charm of working in Chandpole. We don't try to be something we’re not. We’re just a small local team.
