You can find us at 165 Bapu Bazar, which is right in the heart of the shopping area. If you know the market, you know it’s always crowded and loud, especially in the evenings. We’ve been part of this street for a long time. Our shop, Nahar & Company, isn’t anything too special to look at from the outside, but we have a lot of history inside these walls. We deal with various goods, and our day usually involves a lot of paperwork and talking to wholesalers. The space is narrow, like most shops in Bapu Bazar, so we have stuff stacked up to the ceiling in some parts. It takes a bit of navigating to find things sometimes, but we know where everything is. We don't use any modern marketing tricks; we just open the doors every morning and wait for the regulars to show up. Sometimes the local monkeys cause a bit of trouble on the roof, but that’s just life in the old market. We have our lunch together in the back of the shop, usually while listening to the noise of the street outside. It’s a busy life, but we wouldn’t really know what to do with ourselves if it were quiet. Dealing with customers one-on-one is the best part, even if the bargaining gets a bit tiring after a few hours. We just take it one day at a time here.
