Mangla Trading Co

Down here at 7 Toran Bawri the traffic from Mewar Moter Street is almost always loud enough that you have to raise your voice a bit to be heard. Mangla Trading Co has been sitting on this street for a while and we’ve seen shops come and go all around us in Udaipole. It’s a stone building that stays fairly cool even when the sun is beating down on the pavement outside. We have a lot of stuff piled up in the back and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is asking for. The floor is a bit uneven in spots so you have to watch your step when you walk in past the main counter. We don’t have any of those big glass displays like the new stores do but that’s okay because our regulars know us. People stop by just to say hello or to ask about someone else in the neighborhood. It’s that kind of place. Toran Bawri has changed a lot since I was a kid but the way we do things at Mangla Trading Co stays pretty much the same. We open up early and we don't usually leave until the sun is well down and the street lights are flicking on. It's a lot of hours but it's honest work and it keeps us busy. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I wasn't here at the desk every day.
