We are located over at 45 Hira Bagh Colony in Udaipur. Most days start pretty early because of the heat in Rajasthan. Lafarge Aggregate & Concrete India Pvt Ltd isn’t a place with marble floors or anything. It is a work site through and through. We handle a lot of stone and wet concrete throughout the week. You can usually hear the sound of the machinery running if you are anywhere near the gate. The yard gets a bit messy when the trucks are moving in and out, but that is just how it goes with this kind of business. My boots are always dusty by the time I leave in the evening. We deal with the local builders and anyone else who needs materials for their projects. It is straightforward work. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Just a group of people making sure the concrete is mixed right and the aggregate is ready to go. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk, especially when we have several big orders coming in at once. Udaipur is growing fast, and we see a lot of activity around here. We just try to stay on top of the schedule. If you come by, you'll see the stacks of materials and the guys working. It’s a busy spot but we like the routine of it all. The trucks keep us moving and there's always something to do.
