Kalika Flex

Kalika Flex is situated at 43 Koliwara. We are tucked in at the back side of the Rawat Book Store, which is near Bapu Bazar. It’s a bit of a hidden spot if you don’t know where to look, but it’s right in the heart of the action. The area around Bapu Bazar is always packed with people and shoppers, so there is a lot of energy. Our shop is where we handle all the flex printing work. The machines we use are quite large and take up most of the room. When they are running, they make a loud humming noise that fills the whole space. We’ve got rolls of vinyl and plastic stacked up everywhere. It can get a bit hot in the back during the summer, but we keep the fans on full blast. We don't spend much time on fancy office work; most of our day is spent prepping files and watching the prints come out. Sometimes there’s a rush and we’re working late into the evening to get everything finished. We like being in Koliwara because it feels like a real community. We often see the same faces passing by every day. It’s a busy, noisy, and sometimes messy place to work, but it’s ours. We don't have a corporate team or a big marketing budget. We just have our shop behind the bookstore and the work we do for the people who find us. That’s the daily life here for us.
