We operate out of Hiran Magri Sector 13, at house number 1. K K Gupta Constructions Pvt Ltd is usually a hub of activity, especially in the mornings when the site supervisors come in to talk about the day's plans. There are blueprints rolled up on almost every flat surface and a lot of talk about cement prices and labor schedules. We have been working in construction for a long time, so the office is full of old photos of buildings we helped put up around town. It isn't a fancy setup. We have a few desks, some sturdy chairs, and a lot of dust from the site visits that people bring back on their boots. We spend a lot of time dealing with the small details that most people don't see, like checking if the rebar arrived on time or if the weather is going to mess up a concrete pour. Hiran Magri is a good place for us to be located because it’s easy to get to different parts of the city from here. Sometimes we are juggling three or four different projects at once, which gets a bit chaotic. We just try to keep the paperwork straight and make sure the guys on the ground have what they need to keep building. It’s hard work and involves a lot of shouting on the phone, but we like seeing a project go from a hole in the ground to a finished wall.
