Jolly Minchem

Our place is in Sector 13, over in Maharana Pratap Colony in Hiran Magri. It’s more of a residential-feeling area compared to the big industrial zones. We have our setup at house number 39. It is a bit quieter here, which is nice. We deal with minerals and chemicals, so there is always a specific smell in the air around the storage area. It isn't bad, just different. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working on the computer to track shipments. It’s a small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. One minute I might be checking a sample and the next I’m helping load a small pickup. We don't have a big showroom. It’s more about the samples and the bags of material we keep in the back. People come by to discuss their requirements and we sit down with some chai to figure it out. It’s a slow and steady process. We’ve stayed in Hiran Magri because it’s easy for us to get around from here. The neighborhood is familiar. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing outside while we are working. It makes the day feel a bit more relaxed. We keep things simple and just focus on getting the right materials to the right people without making a big fuss about it. There’s always another shipment to check, so the days go by fairly fast.
