Hotel Natraj & Lodge

Hotel Natraj & Lodge is down in Udaipole, New Bapu Bazar. This area is always moving because of the markets and the bus stand nearby. Our building is right in the middle of all that noise and activity. It’s a lodge, so it is meant for people who just need a place to sleep and a bathroom while they are traveling. The rooms are simple with basic furniture. I work at the front desk most of the day and night. We get travelers who arrive late at night from the buses or people who are here for business in the market. The stairs are narrow and we don't have an elevator, so people have to walk up to their rooms. It keeps us fit, I suppose. The lobby is small and usually has some luggage sitting in the corner. I’ve been working here for years and I’ve seen all kinds of people come through the doors. We keep the linens clean and try to make sure everyone has what they need for their stay. It’s not a luxury hotel with a pool or anything like that. It’s just a practical place to stay for a night or two if you’re on a budget. The New Bapu Bazar area is great if you want to shop for clothes or things for the house. We are just a part of the daily life around Udaipole, nothing more and nothing less.
