Hindustan Mining Machineries

If you drive down the Ahmedabad Road towards Goverdhan Vilas, you’ll find us, Hindustan Mining Machineries, right there on NH-8. Being around mining machinery means things are always heavy and usually pretty greasy. We deal with a lot of big parts that take two or three people just to move around. It is loud work and your hands are never really clean even after you wash them three times. The shop floor is always covered in a bit of dust because of the busy road right outside. We get a lot of travelers and truck drivers stopping by asking for directions because we are right on the highway. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and stacks of iron and steel. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and a few clipboards hanging by the door. Some days the phone rings non-stop and other days it is just us sitting around checking the stock levels. It gets really busy during the mining season and we end up staying late quite often. We don't mind it much because the work is steady. We’ve seen this road change a lot over the years but our spot remains the same. It’s a basic operation really. We just make sure the machines have what they need to keep running. It’s hard work but someone has to do it. We just keep the parts moving.
