Hindusatn Zinc Ltd

You can find our office in the Mahal area of Nagpur, right on New Shukrawari Road. We are tucked in near the Jankibai Dharamsala, which is a good landmark because the streets here can be a bit of a maze if you aren't local. Working for Hindusatn Zinc Ltd in a place like this is interesting. It’s a very old part of the city, full of life and a lot of noise. We are C/O S.S Das, and the office is usually filled with the sound of the street outside. Nagpur gets incredibly hot, probably some of the worst heat in Maharastra, so we have fans going all day long. We handle a lot of the logistics and distribution talk from this desk. It’s a lot of manual work, checking lists and talking to drivers who come through the crowded roads. We don't have a big fancy sign or a glass front. It’s just an old-fashioned office where we do our business. People stop by all the time because we are right on the main road. We don't make a big deal out of what we do. We just make sure the zinc gets where it’s supposed to go and that the paperwork is in order for Mr. Das. It’s a busy, dusty, and very real way to spend the day. We are just local people trying to keep things running smooth in the heat of the city.
