Hast Kala Kendra

Hast Kala Kendra is located in the Dudhtalai area, right inside the shopping complex. We occupy shops 16 and 17, which gives us a bit more room than some of the other stalls around here. Being in a complex means it’s always a mix of people coming in for different things. Some days are slow, especially when it’s raining hard and nobody wants to walk through the complex, but other times it gets quite crowded. We spend a lot of our time just sorting through stock and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a lot of work keeping track of the different items we carry. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything. It’s just us here most of the day, dealing with whoever walks in. Sometimes people come in just to look around and escape the heat for a minute, which is fine with us. We’ve been at this location for a while, so we know the other shop owners nearby pretty well. We usually share a cup of chai in the afternoon when things quiet down. The address is easy enough to find if you’re already in Dudhtalai. We don’t put on airs or try to act like we’re bigger than we are. It’s just a local business doing what it does every day. We open up in the morning, do our work, and head home when the sun goes down.
