Gopal Ice Cream & Co.

Our place is located at House No. 30/50 in Adarsh Nagar. It is very close to the Udaipur Station Road, so there is always some noise from the trains and people moving back and forth with their luggage. Being near the station means we see a lot of different faces every day. Some people are just passing through and want a quick cup of ice cream before they catch their next bus or train. Others live right here in the neighborhood and come by after dinner. Gopal Ice Cream & Co. is basically run out of this ground floor space. It stays quite dusty because of all the traffic on the main road nearby, so we are always dusting off the glass. Udaipur is a busy city and the heat can be something else in the afternoons. We try to keep things simple here without too much fuss. There are some benches outside where people can sit if they aren't in a hurry. Sometimes the local kids hang around after school. We have lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the shopkeepers around Adarsh Nagar. It isn't a corporate setup or anything like that, just a local business trying to keep the freezers cold and the customers happy. We usually open up early and stay late until the station traffic dies down for the night. It is a lot of standing around, but the people watching is good.
