Global Hospital School Of Nursing

Living and working out here near Talhati Abu Road is quite different from the big cities. The air is a bit clearer, but it gets really dusty. At the Global Hospital School Of Nursing, we spend our days with a bunch of young students who are trying to figure out how to be nurses. It’s a lot of studying, sure, but mostly it’s about the practical stuff. You see them in their uniforms, looking all serious while they practice bandages or take notes. Some of them come from far away villages and stay in the hostel. It’s quiet in the evenings, which is good for them, I guess. We have our routines. Breakfast, classes, then some time in the wards. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out or find a torch. It isn’t always easy teaching people who have never been in a hospital environment before. There is a lot of nerves. I remember my first day, it was the same. We have a small staff room where we sit and drink chai when the weather is nice. We talk about the students and who is doing well. The road outside can get noisy with trucks heading towards the highway, but mostly it’s just the sound of the students chatting. It’s a simple life here. We aren't doing anything flashy, just trying to get these kids ready for real work. The teachers are just regular people who have worked in hospitals for years.
