We are over at B80 on the 2nd floor in Nehru Bazar. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets. There are shops everywhere and people pushing through the lanes. Being on the second floor helps us get a little bit away from the noise, but you can still hear the shouting and the scooters honking down below. We’ve been in this spot for some time now. Carrying stuff up and down the stairs is probably the hardest part of the day, especially when we have big loads of fabric or finished pieces. The space isn’t very big, but we make it work for everything we need to do. It’s just a regular workplace with sewing machines and tables for cutting. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a big sign that lights up. Most people find us just by knowing where we are in the market. The air is always a bit dusty from the clothes and the street, but that’s just how Nehru Bazar is. We start early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There’s a tea stall right at the corner that we go to every afternoon. It’s a simple life, and we just focus on the orders we have to get out. It’s not a polished corporate office, just a real place where people work with their hands every day to make things happen. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
