Floriana Concept Marble

Out here in Rajsamand Piparda, marble is everywhere you look. Floriana Concept Marble is just one of many yards along the stretch. We have a decent lot of land where we keep the blocks and the cut slabs. It gets really dusty when the wind picks up, which is almost every afternoon. We spend a lot of time walking around the yard with customers, showing them the different patterns in the stone. No two pieces are ever the same, so it takes time to choose. My brother and I run the place. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. We just know our stones. We talk to the truck drivers and the guys at the cutters all day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit under the shade of the neem tree until it comes back on. It’s a slow process, getting marble from the ground to a house. We see the whole thing from start to finish. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a steady one. The office is small, just enough for a couple of chairs and a water cooler. We keep the paperwork in old folders and try not to lose anything. It’s a basic way of doing business, but it works for us. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the long summer days. It's just us and the stone out here.
