Eurasia Marbles Pvt. Ltd. is out at F-325 in the Riico Industrial Area in Bhamashah, Kaladwas. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but there’s plenty of space for the big blocks of marble we deal with. The sun out in Kaladwas can be really brutal, and the wind kicks up a lot of dust from the surrounding hills. In the yard, we have rows and rows of stone slabs leaning against each other. Each one is a bit different, and we spend a lot of time inspecting them and moving them with the overhead crane. The work is slow because you can’t rush things with something as heavy as marble. Our office is a simple structure on the edge of the lot where we keep the records and talk to the drivers who bring the stone in. It’s a quiet place in terms of people, but loud when the cutting machines are going. We don't have a marketing team or anyone like that; it’s just us and the stone. Some days are just spent organizing the inventory and making sure the water pumps are working correctly for the saws. It’s a steady, predictable kind of life where the main focus is just the physical reality of the material we are handling every single day.
