Empowering Billions Foundation

Our foundation is based in Udaipur, over in Kharol Colony. The house number is 30, in Arora Nagar. It’s a pretty calm part of the city, which is nice when we have a lot of work to get through and need to concentrate. Empowering Billions Foundation has been set up here for a bit. It’s basically just a few rooms where we keep our files and sit down to plan things out. Udaipur is a beautiful place to work, though we’re usually stuck inside looking at screens or talking on the phone. We don't have any polished brochures or fancy websites. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the neighbors come by to say hello, which is the nice part about being in a residential area like Arora Nagar. We aren’t a giant organization with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us making sure everything stays on track. The foundation keeps us pretty busy most weeks of the year. Rajasthan has its own way of doing things, and we fit right into that local rhythm. We spend a lot of time coordinating different projects and making phone calls. It’s not always exciting, but it’s important to us. We try to keep things organized, though my desk is usually a mess of papers and old pens. That’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We’re glad to be part of the community here in Udaipur. It’s a solid place to be, and the people are generally very kind to us.
